My February Book Stack 📚

Sherea’s Bookshelf – Relationships, Leadership & Growth

Every month, my bookshelf tells a story—and February’s stack is speaking loud and clear.

This month is all about relationships: how we relate to others, how we lead, how we communicate, and how we take responsibility for our growth instead of blaming personalities, circumstances, or people.

Here’s what I’m reading—and why these books belong together.

📘 How to Work With (Nearly) Anyone – Ryan Leak

This book sets the tone for the month.

Ryan Leak reminds us that success isn’t just about skill—it’s about learning how to work with people who think differently, communicate differently, and sometimes complicate progress. Instead of avoiding tension, this book teaches practical ways to collaborate, lead well, and stay effective without losing yourself.

This is our February Book Club pick, and it’s already challenging how we show up in shared spaces.

📕 The Ultimate Goals Handbook – Sherea VéJauan

We are always reading this one.

This book grounds everything else on the shelf. Relationships don’t exist in isolation—they touch our goals, routines, boundaries, communication, and personal discipline. The Goals Handbook helps us zoom out and ask:

  • What kind of person am I becoming?

  • How do my relationships support or sabotage my goals?

  • Where do I need clarity, structure, and accountability?

Every book this month connects back to intentional goal-setting.

📗 Relationships 101 – John Maxwell

John Maxwell has a way of making complex ideas feel simple—and actionable.

This book reinforces foundational truths:

  • Relationships are built, not assumed

  • Influence grows through trust

  • Leadership always involves people

Whether in marriage, ministry, business, or teams, Relationships 101 reminds us that healthy connections require humility, consistency, and awareness.

📙 Leadership and Self-Deception – The Arbinger Institute

This one hits deep—and quietly.

This book challenges us to stop asking “What’s wrong with them?” and start asking “What role am I playing?” It exposes how self-justification, blind spots, and inward thinking quietly sabotage leadership and relationships.

If you’re serious about growth, this book doesn’t let you stay comfortable.

Why This Stack Matters

Taken together, these books form a powerful February theme:

Better relationships require better self-awarenessLeadership starts with responsibility, not controlGoals move forward when relationships are healthy

This isn’t light reading—but it is necessary reading.

Final Word from My Bookshelf

February isn’t just about love—it’s about learning how to love people well while still leading, growing, and honoring your purpose.

If your goals involve people (and they always do), this stack belongs on your shelf.
